Neighborhood Party

Our neighborhood decided to do better than the old fashioned block party and have an amazing event at the new park down the block. There was free food, raffles, jump houses, games, cake walks, eating contests and even a clown making balloon animals! Too bad it was it was only 45degrees at noon today! We held out as long as we could then called it a day! After we got home though we looked back and wondered hmmmmmmmmm..... all that and we didn't meet one new neighbor! That was silly...

The results are in!

Here I am with mom right after she crossed the finish line! And here are the results!

Bib # 578
Christina Daurer
Nampa, ID
27
F
466th place out of over 12,000!

Finish 00:35:02.2

Mom said she was determined to finish in under 35:00 but her legs just wouldn't go any faster even as she looked up at the clock only to see how close she actually was! I am so proud of her though. Even though I train with her everyday I couldn't be in this race cause they said anyone with a stroller had to walk the whole thing. Mom said that we'd keep training and at the end of October there is a race that I can run in with her. I am so excited!

Grandma flew all of the way from Illinois to visit and as a bonus I got to play with her during mom's race!
Papa couldn't run either because it was a women's fitness celebration and mom said boys weren't allowed! But we had fun celebrating together afterwards!

Here's the band that entertained during and after the race. I just love music and really wanted to go up on stage with them! Instead I just danced in the grass for everyone. Below is a video of me and papa dancing! It was so much fun, I can't wait to race again!

A possible glimpse into the future...

Hannah came across one of my stethescopes on Sunday and wanted to know what it was for... Sooooooooo..... we showed her. She got to listen to our hearts and we listened to hers. Eventually John and I walked away from all of the fun just to turn around and find Hannah looking for Sadie's heart. It was the cutest thing in the world. So then all of us were searching for Sadie's heartbeat so Hannah could hear it. Again I say Hannah is the best and so is Sadie. We're lucky to have such a tolerant and loving dog!

Success!

Warning: If your not the motherly type, you might want to skip this blog! It's mainly for those I know will be excited for me as a mom! What is the subject you ask... Well just check out the hilarious picture above! Whoever thought you could potty train an elephant?
This morning it happened... I'd like to take the credit but I know Hannah's brain is just amazing and a miracle and she's smarter and know's way more than we'll ever know she know's at this age! Hannah simply walked in the kitchen with her banana this morning and said "poo poo" and grabbed her diaper. Well it didn't smell like poop so I said "Hannah do you have to go poo poo on the potty?" She shook her head yes. We put the banana down she got on the potty and pooped like she had done it a million times before! I was shocked and didn't know quite what to do. We pretend but I haven't quite planned on what to do once she actually starts to use the toilet! So I ran to the office got some stickers and covered her in them! Yeaaaaaaaa Hannah! Let's just hope this is the beginning to early potty training!

Zoo Boise

Well I decided since Papa has never been to Zoo Boise that I should take him there. And guess what... he loved it just as much as I did! It must have been cause there was a turtle that looked just like him!

This is the face I make when I growl like the tigers I am looking at in the background...

It was much easier to see everything when I was 7feet tall!

This lion was pretty boring if you ask me... he just sat there.

Checking out the meerkats.

We even made it during the butterfly exhibit. I'm not sure how they really expect you not to touch them when they land all over you. One even flew right into my forehead... I didn't like that very much.

I even got to touch a hedgehog with mom's help of course. I sat on the ground and asked to hold him but mom said nope... only 1 finger please.

Mom said that since me and Papa play with our ears so much, we'd be better off with a set of ears like these! I'm not so sure... what do you think?

Yeah... I agree I may look the cutest but the ears look best with Papa's bald head!
