Sooooo... tall!

Wow is Hannah growing fast! Just today I caught her searching through the top drawer in the bathroom! She can even blindly reach to the top of the kitchen cabinets! Toddler proofing the house is way harder than baby proofing!

1 year ago yesterday...

Grandma awoke to a wonderfully decorated home in Bend for her 60th Birthday! This year she celebrated 61 in Illinois!! I know we are 1 day late on the blog (but we did send our cards on time!) I can't believe how bald I was! And to think my mom thought I had hair then! Well anyways... Happpy Birthday Grandma! (She is coming to visit nampa on the 25th of this month! I have so much to show her!)

The Hamburglar!

We thought these pics of Hannah trying to eat a burger almost the size of her head are totally adorable... we are the parents though! Don't be fooled, she's only after the bun. She did not allow her mouth to be tainted by red meat!

Easter Fun!

Wow is Easter fun! I got to pet a funny looking dog at church today. My mom said her name was baby lamb. She felt very different from Sadie.

And then the Easter bunny showed up at our classroom door! He knew best to keep his distance and not try to come into our room because we would have all freaked out and then our parents would have had to leave the church service to calm us down!

Then we went to David's house and had an Easter egg hunt that ended with smashing all of the Easter eggs on the ground once we realized the shells broke! It was fun! David started walking on all of the eggs and covered the bottom of his shoes with egg yolk!

We even got to decorate Easter cookies! They were so good! I had to taste some of David's though cause everything he has just looks better than mine and I want it!

Our Mom's dressed us up again to try and take pictures of us... what were they thinking! They even tried to bribe us with more sugar! As you can see it didn't work we just wanted the candy!

Then after all this fun they sat us down and told us that none of this was what Easter was really about! I was shocked! Mom said that because of what was accomplished on that first Easter morning, this is the greatest day in all of history. This is the day we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. He had been crucified and was buried for three days. His sacrifice was the primary purpose of his short life. It was freely given for us all. Now that I know that, Easter is even more my favorite holiday! I just hope we have fun every Easter like we did today!

Matthew 21:16
"Do you hear what these children are saying?" they asked him. "Yes," replied Jesus, "have you never read," 'From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise'."

We colored Easter eggs..it tasted delicious!

Here we are with our bunny ears pre-coloring!

"I know mom explained the process but what am I supposed to do with that little metal ring?"

"I'll just use my hands, it seems much easier that way!"

"I wonder what green tastes like?"

Here they are..the finished products!

A partial reunion

Boy did we have a great weekend. My friend Hannah Joy brought her parents, Tara Jean, and Nicolette to visit us in Nampa this weekend! The only thing missing that could have made the weekend reunion complete was Sam (and his parents too!). As you can see in the above photos we are all getting so big! We love to go down the slide at David's house over and over and over. By the end of the day Hannah Joy was even keeping her eyes open the whole ride down! (At first she would close her eyes every time she went down the slide!) We really miss our friends back in Bend and it was so good to be with them again. If only they could have stayed longer...

David and I decided if going down the slide was so much fun, going up the slide must be even better! We're still not sure how we're going to accomplish this though??

I even took Hannah Joy for a tour of the neighborhood, I was a little worried she might try and keep my helmet after riding the bike though so I figured I would just keep it on no matter what!
