A morning in the foothills

This morning we all decided to take a family hike. We wanted to show dad where we go to hike sometimes during the week when he is at work.

Mom said she was glad to have someone else carry me up the hills. I guess I overheard that I am too tall for my foot holds. The things that I used to strap my feet in now hang at my knees.

Boy did Sadie have fun! When we hike during the week she has to stay on her leash because she doesn't listen as well when she knows mom is carrying me on her back. Today she was a free dog and took complete advantage of it!

Here's mom taking a picture of herself. She said she's always taking pictures and rarely in them anymore... so cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese!

When I was younger I used to fall asleep when the hike got too long. Now I like to read and snack on various foods. This hiking thing is a piece of cake... I think I'm going to ask mom and dad if we can go further next time!

Peaches

One of the reasons I love summer most is all the fresh fruit available. When we lived in California we had any kind of fruit you could think of for next to nothing, I do miss that! But we will spend our summer watching for fruit on sale and taking complete advantage of it!

Some big shoes to fill

Having a natural obsession as a girl, Hannah loves shoes. Especially Mommy's shoes!

And she even does a pretty good job getting around in them!

Happy Fathers Day!

This is me and my Dad... And I have to say he is the best dad in the world. Even though today was meant to celebrate how great he is, we went to the park and played and played and played... I even found a hill that was perfect for practicing my somersaults so I thought I'd share it with you too! ( I know this was supposed to be a post about my dad, but it is my blog... wink! wink!)
Just wanted to say I Love You Dad!!! And your the Best!

Life isn't all fun and games...

Mom and Dad told me that sometimes we have to put our fun and games on hold to get some work done. Mom said something about weeds that were taller than me... Dad said we'd do a little work and then play some more... so I decided to help!

It's much easier to mow where mom and dad already did... I just needed to do a couple of touch-ups!
Here I was straightening out some of dad's lines... they were a little crooked.

And this is where I called it quits! I went back to my sandbox to get dirty while mom and dad finished the yardwork. My vote is for fun and no work!

Blue tongue

This is what we got to look at for 20 minutes after Hannah realized she had a blue tongue!
For all of you fellow blogging mom's of toddlers out there, Hannah and I found the perfect popscicles! They are the Popsicle brand and the are called "Mighty Magic" popscicles... the key phrase on the box is... Bite Size! They are only a couple of inches and perfect for these little ones that want their independence but aren't quite big enough to handle a full size popsicle without it melting at their feet. Hannah was able to finish hers with minimal drippage.
(I guess I should have posted a pic of the popscicle... didn't think of that... oh well!)

Our backyard waterpark

It sure is hot here in Nampa! Hannah's not too picky though... Anything involving being outside with water and she's happy!
