Beautiful Idaho and the Beautiful Snow!

I'm sure I've said before... This is an abnormal winter for this part of Idaho. We are getting more snow than they have in the last 8yrs or something like that. It's funny how many unsatisfied Idahoins I have heard, throughout the valley, due to this fact. Most don't want to deal with the driving... the shoveling... the wetness... Our solution to change these attitudes... Embrace the snow!

We took advantage of this absolutely glorious, warmer, beautiful day and headed to the foothills to put some more miles on our snowshoes. We left the car at 10:40am and returned just after 1pm... it was great! (This including multiple, multiple stops to pick up lost Sadie boots, re-tie hats, fix snowshoes, pictures, breaks after hill climbs etc... But trust me, it was a workout!)

This is the peak of our trip... We ate some apples, took pictures, and just enjoyed our surroundings for a while. We were hoping to see some elk and other exciting wildlife. No elk, but we did come across 2 heards of deer, an elderly couple on skis, and dead animal parts scattered about. We also saw spiders hiking across the snow! Weird!?

Making fresh tracks!

And finally... no activity in the snow is complete without making a snowangel! So for those of you living near or far, anxiously awaiting the snow to melt... There's not too much of this season left, so embrace it while you can! =)
